Too many cooks

I'm surrounded by cooks.

They're everywhere.  Perhaps you get to a certain stage in life where people have started to grow up and settle down and in the process have learnt to cook and eat well  My friend Rick is great, my sister is great (was awful, now great - see link), my Mum is obviously great but I'm terrible, really, really awful.  The major difference with me and my sister is ("are you two sisters? you have the same face") I don't really care.  I'm not trying to get better.  I mean,  I wouldn't know where to start, but I'm not.  I'm just going to cook the things that occur to me and then take a picture for you to judge me and feel better about yourselves and how advanced in life you are.

Today for dinner I had quite the feast,  a delicious concoction of frozen peas, sainsbury's pre-chopped broccoli and cauliflower, a mug full of gravy and a generous helping of vinegar.  It was great.  Look here's a picture...

You may notice that the table underneath isn't a dining table but a bedside table this is because I have a pyscho flatmate who is trying to kill me so when home I generally try to avoid the communal areas.

Recipe:
1. Boil kettle.
2. Put boiled water into saucepan.
3. Add broccoli and cauliflower to pan.
4. Add peas to pan.
5. Wait until peas float or aren't frozen when you scoop them out of boiling water with your fingers.
6. Take mug
7. Put bisto gravy granuals in mug.
8. Pour water from peas onto gravy granuals.
9. Stir in mug with a fork.
10. Pour all of the above into a bowl and eat.

Oh also, while I'm on the subject of the homicidal flatmate, she's really messy and gross, say what you like about my culinary skills but I'm nothing if not clean and tidy.  Maybe next time I'll take a picture of the kitchen, it's currently even more delightful than my frozen pea feast was.  So if my dinner didn't whet your appetite perhaps her two day old bowl of microwaved beans will.
